I ) Identify the colour of following precipitates (3)


1)    Fe(OH)2                                     
2)    Pb(OH)2
3)    Fe(OH)3
4)    Zn(OH)2
5)    Mg(OH)2

II) Identify the anion(s) present in the product(s) following reactions. (5)
1) Silver nitrate solution is added to hydrochloric acid solution.
2) Milky white precipitate of calcium carbonate when treated with excess carbon dioxide
3) Reaction of ammonium chloride with caustic soda.
4)  Ferrous sulphate with ammonium hydroxide.
5) Chlorine with water.

III) State the observations of the following. (5)
1) Calcium sulphite on treatment with acidified potassium dichromate solution.
2) Sodium carbonate on treatment with barium chloride.
