What is a Chemical Change ?
Chemical change is a change which results in the formation of new substance/s.
Chemical changes : Ripening of fruits, Rusting of Iron, Digestion of food etc
What happens in chemical change?
During a chemical change the chemical composition of the substances.
Chemical change example: When Magnesium wire is heated in presence of Oxygen it gives Magnesium oxide.
As the chemical composition of the substance changes the chemical properties of the new substance differ from the original substance which took part in the chemical change.
Physical change differs from Chemical change as there no new substance formed but change in its physical state or appearance in physical change.
