 It's a Laboratory preparation of Carbon dioxide using Sodium carbonate and dilute Hydrochloric acid.

When dilute acid is added to metal carbonate it gives effervescence of Carbon dioxide gas.

 When Carbon dioxide gas is passed into Lime water it turns Milky white.
