Cations and Coloured precipitates given by the salt solutions with Ammonium hydroxide and Sodium hydroxide

The cation present in the given salt solution can identified using Ammonium hydroxide solution and Sodium hydroxide solution by the colour of the precipitate given by the salt.

Cupric ion - pale blue ppt.

Zinc ion - Gelatinous ppt 

Lead (II) ion - White ppt.

Ferrous ion - Dirty green ppt.

Ferric ion - Reddish brown ppt.

Calcium ion give white with Sodium hydroxide but not with Ammonium hydroxide solution
