1. Conc.
Nitric acid is added to Copper turnings. Ans: Reddish brown gas and a blue filtrate.
2. Dil.
Nitric acid is added to Copper turnings. Ans: A blue filtrate is formed.
3. Nitric
oxide is passed into gas jar containing Oxygen gas. Ans: Reddish brown fumes.
4. A
salt containing nitrate ion is heated with conc. Sulphuric acid and Copper. Ans: Reddish brown fumes
5. Lead
nitrate crystals are heated in a hard glass test tube. Ans: a buff residue fuses with the test tube and reddish brown fumes evolved.
